(2) TO RELIEVE POVERTY OF PERSONS IN SOMALIA AND NEIGHBOURING COUNTRIES WHO HAVE BEEN DISPLACED BY PROVIDING THEM WITH FOOD, SHELTER, TOOLS FOR RECONSTRUCTION, MEDICINE, CLOTHING AND ARTIFICIAL LIMBS AND IN SUCH OTHER WAYS AS THE ASSOCIATION THROUGH ITS EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE MAY DETERMINE. (3) FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT IN THE LONDON BOROUGH OF BARNET AND IN PARTICULAR FOR THOSE MEMBERS OF THE PUBLIC WHO ARE SOMALIS OR OF SOMALIAN DESCENT BY ADVANCING EDUCATION AND BY PROVIDING AND ASSISTING IN THE PROVISION OF FACILITIES FOR RECREATION AND LEISURE TIME OCCUPATION IN THE INTERESTS OF SOCIAL WELFARE AND WITH THE OBJECT OF IMPROVING THE CONDITIONS OF LIFE OF THOSE PERSONS FOR WHOM THE FACILITIES ARE PROVIDED. (4) TO PROMOTE GOOD RACE RELATIONS BY ENDEAVOURING TO ELIMINATE DISCRIMINATION ON THE GROUNDS OF RACE OR CLAN AFFILIATION AND ENCOURAGING EQUALITY OF OPPORTUNITY BETWEEN PERSONS OF DIFFERENT RACIAL GROUPS RESIDING IN THE LONDON BOROUGH OF BARNET AND ELSEWHERE.
