THE DISCIPLINE ECCLESIASTIQUE OF 1641, THE REGLEMENTS DU CONSISTOIRE OF 1754, THE REGLEMENTS DES ANCIENS OF 1767 AND SUBSEQUENT REGLEMENTS (HEREINAFTER REFERRED TO TOGETHER AS THE REGLEMENTS) FORM THE HISTORICAL BASIS OF THE CHURCH'S PRACTICE AND DOCTRINE AND ITS ADHERENCE TO THE REGLEMENTS IS DECLARED AND AFFIRMED INSOFAR AS THE CONSISTORY DECIDES THEM TO BE APPROPRIATE TO CURRENT CIRCUMSTANCES.
