1. TO FURTHER THE EDUCATION AND PROMOTE THE DEVELOPMENT OF PERSONS UNDER 30 YEARS OF AGE AS SOUND ENGINEERS, AND MUSIC PRODUCERS AND IN DOING SO THE TRUSTEES MAY APPLY THE FUNDS OF THE TRUST FUND. 2. TO CREATE AND MAINTAIN OR ASSIST IN THE MAINTENANCE OF A TRADITIONAL RECORDING STUDIO OR STUDIOS TO BE OPERATED AND RUN FOR AN EDUCATIONAL ESTABLISHMENT PROVIDING RECOGNISED COURSES OF STUDIES. 3. TO AWARD SCHOLARSHIPS, EXHIBITIONS, BURSARIES OR MAINTENANCE ALLOWANCES THROUGH A RECOGNISED COURSE AT ANY SCHOOL, UNIVERSITY OR OTHER EDUCATIONAL ESTABLISHMENT APPROVED BY THE TRUSTEES TO PERSONS UNDER 30 YEARS OF AGE AND WHO ARE IN NEED FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE.4. TO PROVIDE FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE, CLOTHING, EQUIPMENT AND BOOKS TO PERSONS ON LEAVING SCHOOL, UNIVERSITY OR OTHER EDUCATIONAL ESTABLISHMENT TO ASSIST THEM IN THEIR CAREER AS SOUND ENGINEERS OR MUSIC PRODUCERS.5. TO AWARD TO SUCH PERSONS GRANTS OR MAINTENANCE ALLOWANCES TO ENABLE THEM TO TRAVEL WHETHER IN THE UNITED KINGDOM OR ABROAD IN FURTHERANCE OF THEIR EDUCATION.6 TO AWARD IN SUCH YEARS AS THE TRUSTEES DECIDE A PRIZE TO BE CALLED THE GUS DUDGEON FOUNDATION (YEAR) AWARD TO SUCH A PERSON WHO IN THE OPINION OF THE TRUSTEES IS THE MOST SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE IN DEGREE LEVEL EXAMINATION IN SOUND ENGINEERING.7. TO SOURCE AND DISTRIBUTE DONATED RECORDING EQUIPMENT AND PROVIDE EXPERT ADVICE UPON THE SUBJECTS OF SOUND RECORDING AND MUSIC PRODUCTION TO EDUCATIONAL ESTABLISHMENTS ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD.
