TO ADVANCE EDUCATION OF THE PUBLIC IN THE HISTORY OF ANCIENT EGYPT, TO ADVANCE THE PRESERVATION OF ANCIENT HISTORICAL SITES AND TO MAINTAIN MUSEUMS, FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE GENERAL PUBLIC IN AROUND THE OASES OF SIWA, BAHARIYA, FARAFRA, DAKHLA AND KHARGA IN THE WESTERN DESERT OF EGYPT BY: 1) MAKING GRANTS TO MISSIONS UNDERTAKING ARCHAEOLOGICAL EXCAVATIONS IN THIS REGION; 11) MAKING GRANTS TO LOCAL MUSEUMS; III) PROVIDING FUNDS FOR LOCAL SCHOOLS, TO ENABLE PUPILS TO BE TAKEN TO THE SITES AND MUSEUMS IN ORDER TO STUDY THEIR CULTURAL HERITAGE; AND2. THE RELIEF OF FINANCIAL HARDSHIP AMONG THE INHABITANTS OF THE ABOVE-MENTIONED REGION OF EGYPT, PRINCIPALLY BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY, BY MAKING GRANTS FOR SUCH PERSONS TO BE EMPLOYED ON ARCHAEOLOGICAL EXCAVATIONS IN THIS AREA.
