The purpose of the Thames Youth Orchestra shall be to advance the musical education of young persons by providing a unique musical experience, particularly those resident in the Royal Borough of Kingston or the surrounding areas, by the provision of training in musical ensemble playing, including orchestral playing, and the presentation of public concerts.
