(1) TO RELIEVE AND ASSIST ELDERLY PEOPLE IN THE HURWORTH AREA WHO ARE SUFFERING FINANCIAL HARDSHIP OR POOR HEALTH;(2) TO RELIEVE AND ASSIST PEOPLE SUFFERING FROM MENTAL ILLNESS OF ANY DESCRIPTION IN THE HURWORTH AREA; AND(3) TO MAKE GRANTS TO OR FOR SUCH CHARITABLE PURPOSES FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT IN THE HURWORTH AREA AS ARE EXCLUSIVELY CHARITABLE ACCORDING TO THE LAWS OF ENGLAND AND WALES AS THE TRUSTEES MAY FROM TIME TO TIME DETERMINE.(4) TO ADVANCE SUCH CHARITABLE OBJECTS (ACCORDING TO THE LAW OF ENGLAND AND WALES) WITHIN THE HURWORTH AREA AS THE TRUSTEES FROM TIME TO TIME SEE FIT AND IN PARTICULAR BUT WITHOUT LIMITATION THERETO TO ADVANCE FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT OF PERSONS OR ORGANISATIONS WITHIN THE HURWORTH AREA ALL MATTERS OR THINGS WHICH PROVIDE A BENEFIT TO THE COMMUNITY THEREIN AND WHETHER BY MAKING GRANTS LOANS OR OTHERWISE TO SUCH PERSONS OR ORGANISATIONS. FOR THE PURPOSES HEREOF "THE HURWORTH AREA" MEANS THAT AREA BOUNDED BY THE RIVER TEES, THE A167 ROAD, THE A66 AND NEASHAM ROAD FORMING A RECTANGLE CONTAINING SOME 4000 INHABITANTS OR THEREABOUTS.
