TO ADVANCE THE SIKH RELIGION, PARTICULARLY IN THE DOCTRINE OF THE HOLY SRI GURU GRANTH SAHIB AND TEACHINGS OF TEN GURUS TO ALL MEMBERS OF THE SIKH COMMUNITY OF ANY AGE RESIDING IN THE CITY OF LEEDS AND WEST YORKSHIRE. IN PARTICULAR BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY BY: A) PROVIDING FACILITIES FOR RELIGIOUS WORSHIP, CEREMONIES AND CELEBRATIONS OF IMPORTANT RELIGIOUS FESTIVALS. B) PROMOTING TEACHING OF GURUMUKHI (LANGUAGE OF THE HOLY SCRIPTURES) AND WAYS OF RELIGIOUS WORSHIP, ESPECIALLY AMONG THE YOUNG MEMBERS OF THE SIKH COMMUNITY. 2. TO ADVANCE EDUCATION FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT IN THE SIKH WAYS OF LIFE AND WORSHIP AMONG UK CITIZENS. 3. TO PROMOTE THE CAUSE OF MUTUAL UNDERSTANDING AND STRENGTHEN BONDS BETWEEN THE SIKH AND OTHER COMMUNITIES. 3. TO PROVIDE OR ASSIST IN THE PROVISION OF FACILITIES IN THE INTERESTS OF SOCIAL WELFARE FOR RECREATION OR OTHER LEISURE TIME OCCUPATION OF INDIVIDUALS WHO HAVE NEED OF SUCH FACILITIES BY REASON OF THEIR YOUTH, AGE INFIRMITY OR DISABILITY, FINANCIAL HARDSHIP OR SOCIAL CIRCUMSTANCES WITH THE OBJECT OF IMPROVING THEIR CONDITIONS OF LIFE.
