THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARE FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PUBLIC TO (A) PROMOTE EDUCATION, TRAINING AND APPRENTICESHIPS IN THE PERFORMING ARTS; AND (B) PROVIDE ACCESS TO THE PERFORMING ARTS; FOR DISADVANTAGED 7 TO 25 YEAR OLD PEOPLE, IN SUCH WAYS AS THE CIO TRUSTEES THINK FIT, INCLUDING BY: (1) AWARDING TO SUCH PERSONS BURSARIES, SCHOLARSHIPS, MAINTENANCE ALLOWANCES OR GRANTS TENABLE AT ANY SCHOOL, UNIVERSITY, COLLEGE OR INSTITUTION OF HIGHER OR FURTHER EDUCATION; AND(2) PROVIDING THEIR EDUCATION (INCLUDING THE STUDY OF MUSIC OR OTHER PERFORMING ARTS), TO UNDERTAKE TRAVEL IN FURTHERANCE OF THAT EDUCATION OR TO PREPARE FOR ENTRY TO ANY OCCUPATION, TRADE OR PROFESSION ON LEAVING ANY EDUCATIONAL ESTABLISHMENT; AND(3) AWARDING BURSARIES, MAINTENANCE ALLOWANCES OR GRANTS TENABLE TO ANY SCHOOL, UNIVERSITY, COLLEGE OR INSTITUTION OF HIGHER OR FURTHER EDUCATION; AND(4) AWARDING TO SUCH PERSONS GIFTS, BURSARIES OR GRANTS TO ATTEND THE THEATRE, CONCERTS, RECITALS, PLAYS AND PERFORMANCES OF THE PERFORMING ARTS OF ALL KINDS.
