THE FOLLOWING OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARE ESTABLISHED FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT:-(A)THE RELIEF OF POVERTY BY GIVING FREE ASSISTANCE TO RURAL VILLAGE CHURCHES AND CHURCH LEADERS BY THE MEANS OF TEACHING AND MENTORING IN DISCIPLESHIP AND SALVATION, COMBINED WITH WAYS TO CULTIVATE THEIR LAND AND PROVIDE AN OUTPUT THAT WILL NOT ONLY BE SELF SUPPORTING BUT PROVIDE AN INCOME AND SUPPLY FOR OTHERS WITHIN THEIR LOCAL COMMUNITY AND THROUGH THE PROVISION OF APPROPRIATE PHYSICAL AND FINANCIAL RESOURCES;(B)THE RELIEF OF SICKNESS, DISEASE AND DISABILITY DUE TO, BUT NOT RESTRICTED TO A LACK OF MEDICAL RESOURCES, ACCESS TO CLEAN WATER AND FOOD SUPPLIES OR ACTS OF VIOLENCE, THROUGH THE PROVISION OF APPROPRIATE PHYSICAL AND FINANCIAL RESOURCES;(C)TO ADVANCE EDUCATION WITHIN RURAL COMMUNITIES THROUGH THE FREE PROVISION OF TEACHING MATERIALS AND FACILITIES, ENCOURAGING WORK ETHICS AND STUDENT EDUCATIONAL AND SPIRITUAL DEVELOPMENT THROUGH THE PROVISION OF APPROPRIATE PHYSICAL AND FINANCIAL RESOURCES. NOTHING IN THIS CONSTITUTION SHALL AUTHORISE AN APPLICATION OF THE PROPERTY OF THE CIO FOR THE PURPOSES WHICH ARE NOT CHARITABLE IN ACCORDANCE WITH [SECTION 7 OF THE CHARITIES ANDTRUSTEE INVESTMENT (SCOTLAND) ACT 2005] AND [SECTION 2 OF THE CHARITIES ACT (NORTHERNIRELAND) 2008].”
