THE OBJECT OF THE CHARITY IS TO PROMOTE THE RELIEF OF PERSONS RESIDENT IN AMPTHILL AND THE SURROUNDING AREA OF CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE WHO ARE PHYSICALLY/MENTALLY DISABLED OR WHO SUFFER FROM LEARNING DIFFICULTIES, IN PARTICULAR BY THE PROVISION OF FACILITIES FOR RECREATION WITH THE OBJECT OF IMPROVING THE CONDITIONS OF LIFE OF SUCH PERSONS. ALSO IN THE PROVISION OF SUITABLE TRANSPORT AND OTHER FORMS OF ASSISTANCE TO ENABLE THOSE PERSONS IN NEED TO ACCESS THE SAID RECREATIONAL FACILITIES IN A SAFE AND SECURE MANNER.
