TO RELIEVE PERSONS IN WRENTHORPE, KIRKHAMGATE, OUTWOOD AND THE LOCAL SURROUNDING AREAS OF WAKEFIELD METROPOLITAN DISTRICT COUNCIL THAT ARE IN CONDITIONS OF NEED, FINANCIAL HARDSHIP OR DISTRESS IN SUCH WAYS AS THE TRUSTEES FROM TIME-TO-TIME THINK FIT, IN PARTICULAR BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY BY; (1) PROVIDING EMERGENCY FOOD, ESSENTIAL TOILETRIES AND OTHER HOUSEHOLD ITEMS TO INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILIES IN NEED; (2) THE DISTRIBUTION OF FOOD, ESSENTIAL TOILETRIES AND OTHER HOUSEHOLD ITEMS TO OTHER LOCAL CHARITIES OR ORGANISATIONS WORKING TO RELIEVE POVERTY; (3) SUCH OTHER MEANS INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE PROVISION OF SUPPORT OR SIGNPOSTING TO RELEVANT INFORMATION AND OTHER ADVISORY SERVICES. (4) TO REDUCE LONELINESS AND ISOLATION IN THE OVER 65S. NOTHING IN THIS CONSTITUTION SHALL AUTHORISE AN APPLICATION OF THE PROPERTY OF THE CIO FOR THE PURPOSES WHICH ARE NOT CHARITABLE.
