THE OBJECTIVE OF THE SOCIETY FOR ARCHAEAL BIOLOGY IS TO CREATE A COMMUNITY PLATFORM FOR RESEARCHERS STUDYING ARCHAEA. FOR THE GENERAL PUBLIC, THE CHARITY WILL PROVIDE A DIRECTORY OF EXPERTS WITHIN THE ARCHAEAL FIELD AND ASSIST PUBLIC EDUCATION.IN TIME WE AIM TO BECOME A LONG TERM INFORMATIONAL RESOURCE FOR BOTH SENIOR AND EARLY CAREER RESEARCHERS AND A COMMUNITY FORUM ENCOURAGING THE FREE EXCHANGE OF INFORMATION/PROTOCOLS DRIVING THE ARCHAEA FIELD FORWARD.NOTHING IN THIS CONSTITUTION SHALL AUTHORISE AN APPLICATION OF THE PROPERTY OF THE CIO FOR THE PURPOSES WHICH ARE NOT CHARITABLE IN ACCORDANCE WITH SECTION 7 OF THE CHARITIES AND TRUSTEE INVESTMENT (SCOTLAND) ACT 2005 AND SECTION 2 OF THE CHARITIES ACT (NORTHERN IRELAND) 2008.
