TO RELIEVE THE NEEDS OF PEOPLE WHO HAVE BEEN VICTIMS OR IMPACTED BY CHILD SEXUAL EXPLOITATION PRIMARILY, BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY THROUGH THE PROVISION OF SERVICES, SUCH AS ACCESS TO ADVICE/SUPPORT AND SIGNPOSTING TO APPROPRIATE SUPPORT ORGANISATIONS WHEN REQUIRED.’2.TO ADVANCE EDUCATION AMONGST PROFESSIONALS, SCHOOL GOVERNORS, PARENTS, CARERS AND THE GENERAL PUBLIC ABOUT ISSUES RELATING TO CHILD SEXUAL EXPLOITATION TO PROVIDE INSIGHT AND IMPROVE THE SUPPORT THEY PROVIDE. 3.TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION AMONGST THE PUBLIC ON CHILD SEXUAL EXPLOITATION BY MAKING GRANTS FOR RESEARCH INTO THE LONG-TERM EFFECTS OF BEING A VICTIM OF CHILD SEXUAL EXPLOITATION AND THEIR FAMILIES AND BEST PRACTICE IN THE CARE AND SUPPORT OF VICTIMS, AND TO DISSEMINATE THE RESULTS OF SUCH RESEARCH FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT.CHILD SEXUAL EXPLOITATION IS A FORM OF CHILD SEXUAL ABUSE. IT OCCURS WHERE AN INDIVIDUAL OR GROUP TAKES ADVANTAGE OF AN IMBALANCE OF POWER TO COERCE, MANIPULATE OR DECEIVE A CHILD OR YOUNG PERSON UNDER THE AGE OF 18 INTO SEXUAL ACTIVITY (A) IN EXCHANGE FOR SOMETHING THE VICTIM NEEDS OR WANTS, AND/OR (B) FOR THE FINANCIAL ADVANTAGE OR INCREASED STATUS OF THE PERPETRATOR OR FACILITATOR. THE VICTIM MAY HAVE BEEN SEXUALLY EXPLOITED EVEN IF THE SEXUAL ACTIVITY APPEARS CONSENSUAL. CHILD SEXUAL EXPLOITATION DOES NOT ALWAYS INVOLVE PHYSICAL CONTACT; IT CAN ALSO OCCUR THROUGH THE USE OF TECHNOLOGY
