THE OBJECT OF UNITING UNIFORMS IS TO RELIEVE FINANCIAL HARDSHIP AMONG FAMILIES LIVING WITHIN BOROUGHS OF LONDON AND OTHER CITIES IN ENGLAND WITH CHILDREN WHO ARE IN FULL TIME EDUCATION, BY PROVIDING ACCESS TO FREE/SUBSIDISED SCHOOL UNIFORMS WHICH THEY COULD NOT OTHERWISE AFFORD THROUGH LACK OF MEANS. WE ANTICIPATE THIS TO HAVE THE ANCILLARY BENEFIT OF IMPROVING SCHOOL ATTENDANCE AND ATTAINMENT FOR CHILDREN LIVING WITH POVERTY.
