A YEARLY SUM OF 50P TO THE RECTOR FOR THE TIME BEING OF THE ECCLESIASTICAL PARISH OF ST. PETER AND ST. PAUL, SCALDWELL, FOR PREACHING A SERMON ON THE FIRST SUNDAY IN DECEMBER IN EACH YEAR OR SUCH OTHER DATE AS THE CHARITY COMMISSION SHALL FROM TIME TO TIME IN WRITING DIRECT. TO RELIEVE EITHER GENERALLY OR INDIVIDUALLY PERSONS RESIDENT IN THE PARISH OF SCALDWELL BY MAKING GRANTS OF MONEY OR PROVIDING OR PAYING FOR ITEMS, SERVICES OR FACILITIES CALCULATED TO REDUCE THE NEED, HARDSHIP OR DISTRESS OF SUCH.TO PROMOTE FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE INHABITANTS OF SCALDWELL THE PROVISION OF FACILITIES FOR RECREATION OR OTHER LEISURE TIME OCCUPATION OF INDIVIDUALS WHO HAVE NEED OF SUCH FACILITIES BY REASON OF THEIR YOUTH, AGE, INFIRMITY OR DISABLEMENT, FINANCIAL HARDSHIP OR SOCIAL AND ECONOMIC CIRCUMSTANCES AND WITH THE OBJECT OF IMPROVING THE CONDITION OF LIFE OF THE SAID INHABITANTS.
