Charitable objects

(1) To advance the education of the inhabitants of Inner City and East Bristol (hereinafter called the ?area of benefit?) and, in particular members who may be socially excluded, in agriculture, horticulture, home crafts, country life, conservation and related subjects and in the principles of self-discipline and good citizenship, through their leisure time activities that they develop their physical, mental and spiritual capacities and grow to full maturity as individuals and members of society and their conditions in life are improved.For the purpose of this clause ?socially excluded? means being excluded from society, or parts of society, as a result of one or more of the following factors: unemployment; financial hardship; youth or old age; ill health (physical or mental); substance abuse or dependency including alcohol and drugs; discrimination on the grounds of sex, race, disability, ethnic origin, religion, belief, creed, sexual orientation or gender re-assignment; poor educational or skills attainment; relationship and family breakdown; poor housing (that is housing that does not meet basic habitable standards; crime (either as a victim of crime or as an offender rehabilitating into society). (2) To advance the education of the inhabitants of the area of benefit in the conservation, protection and improvement of the physical and natural environment.(3) To promote among the inhabitants of the area of benefit, humanity and morality by educating them in care and consideration for all animals and for these purposes to care for and exhibit animals in common agricultural and domestic use so that the public and particularly the younger members thereof, will learn a greater awareness of and appreciation for such animals. (4) To relieve people who are in need by reason of their disability or mental or physical illness or deprived inhabitants of the area of benefit by providing remedial recreational or therapeutic activity facilities for training and therapy in horticulture, conservation or related subjects, subject where appropriate to the consent of the medical advisers of such persons. (5) To provide education and training for young persons under the age of 25 years resident in the area of benefit who are in need of such education and training, so as to prepare them for any trade, occupation or service and thereby advance them in life and enable them to earn their own livelihood. (6) To promote the benefit of the inhabitants of the area of benefit without distinction of race, gender, disability , sexual orientation, religion or of political or other opinions by associating the local authorities and/or voluntary organisations and inhabitants in a common effort to advance education and to provide facilities in the interest of social welfare for recreation and other leisure-time occupation with the object of improving the conditions of life for the said facilities by reason of their youth, age, infirmity or disablement, poverty or social and economic circumstances.
