Charitable objects

Clause 3: Application of Income.The Trustees shall apply the clear income of the Charity for or towards any charitable purposes - insofar as they shall further the Charity’s primary purpose of supporting the students of Kirklees College (the “College”), including but not limited to:(i) the provision of loans or grants to enable students to purchase books, equipment or materials in connection with their course of study at the College;(ii) the provision of loans or grants to students in respect of travelling subsistence or lodgings expenses incurred in connection with their course of study at the College;(iii) the promotion of scholarship games or extra-curricular activities at the College either by the making of grants or loans or otherwise;(iv) the improvement of the site of the College and its buildings, playing fields and fixed and other equipment either by making new additions thereto or otherwise; and(v) the assistance of any clubs or societies the membership of which is confined to students attending the College.
