The charity’s objects (Objects) are specifically restricted to the following:(I) The education, relief and resettlement of homeless persons of 16 years of age or over within Staffordshire and surrounding areas, in particular by providing short term accommodation, counsel and advice and by assisting in the provision of permanent accommodation with the object of helping such persons to achieve a settled way of life;(II) The advancement of education among persons and agencies who are working with homeless people and in related fields including those who are working in the areas of drug or alcohol dependence, the care of ex-prisoners and with those who are in need of mental care;(III) The prevention of crime and the rehabilitation of offenders through the provision training, care, support and assistance to offenders, ex-offenders, those at risk of offending and their families;(IV) The relief and prevention of distress, suffering and need amongst victims and those at risk of domestic abuse or sexual abuse and their dependents including by providing safe and supportive spaces, temporary accommodations, community support services and education programmes, and working with those responsible to change their behaviour;(V) The provision of housing related services, facilities and amenities, for those in need by virtue of any of the factors mentioned in (VI) below; (VI) The promotion of social inclusion for the public benefit by preventing people within Staffordshire and surrounding areas from becoming or being socially excluded, relieving the needs of those people who are socially excluded and assisting them to integrate into society,provided that in fulfilling these Objects the Company shall operate on a basis of equality of opportunity, regardless of race, sex, creed, sexuality, disability or age.New definition for definition section :"socially excluded" means being excluded from society, or parts of society, as a result of one or more of the following factors: unemployment; financial hardship; youth or old age; ill health (physical or mental); substance abuse or dependency including alcohol and drugs; discrimination on the grounds of sex, race, disability, ethnic origin, religion, belief, creed or sexual orientation or being transgender; poor educational or skills attainment; relationship and family breakdown; poor housing (that is housing that does not meet basic habitable standards); crime either as a victim of crime or as an offender rehabilitating into society.
