(1) TO PROMOTE THE EFFICIENCY OF THE ARMY BY: (A) MAINTAINING CONTACT BETWEEN PAST AN PRESENT MEMBERS OF THE REGIMENT, FOSTERING MUTUAL FRIENDSHIP BETWEEN THEM AND PROVIDING FOR SOCIAL GATHERINGS FOR THEM.
