THE OBJECTS OF THE CHARITY ARE, FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT, TO PROMOTE THE RELIEF OF SICKNESS OR SUFFERING FOR THOSE SUFFERING FROM ANY LIFE LIMITING ILLNESS PRIMARILY BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY WITHIN THE AREA OF SOUTH WEST HERTFORDSHIRE AND PROMOTE SUPPORT AND CARE FOR THEIR FAMILIES, FRIENDS AND CARERS, AND ANY OTHER OBJECTS OF SOCIAL WELFARE WHICH MAY NOW OR HEREAFTER BE DEEMED BY LAW TO BE CHARITABLE, IN SUCH WAYS AS THE TRUSTEES SHALL FROM TIME TO TIME THINK FIT THROUGH THE PROVISION OF HEALTH AND SOCIAL CARE SERVICES OF ALL TYPES, INCLUDING (WITHOUT LIMITATION) ACCOMMODATION AND DAY CARE SERVICES THROUGH ESTABLISHING AND MAINTAINING A HOSPICE; PALLIATIVE CARE SERVICES; COUNSELLING, BEREAVEMENT AND OTHER SERVICES TO HELP RELIEVE EMOTIONAL, MENTAL OR SPIRITUAL DISTRESS, AND TO PROMOTE EDUCATION ABOUT, AND RESEARCH INTO THE DEVELOPMENT AND IMPROVEMENT OF, SUCH SERVICES, IN PARTICULAR ALL ASPECTS OF PALLIATIVE CARE.
