To provide to qualifying Ministers of the United Reformed Church and of non-uniting Congregational Churches grants to relieve need, hardship or distress, including annual grants following their retirement, and to make provision for the benefit of the widows, widowers and dependent children of such Ministers.Qualifying Minister (Minister) means any Stipendiary Minister of Word and Sacraments or Stipendiary Church Related Community Worker (CRCW), working or retired that meets the following criteria: is serving or has served the United Reformed Church or an non-uniting Congregational Church in the area covered by the North Western and Mersey Synods of the United Reformed Church (the area); andhas served in the area for at least 5 years; andis in good standing with their denomination.
