1) TO PROMOTE ANY CHARITABLE PURPOSE FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE COMMUNITY IN THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT AREA OF THE KINTBURY PARICH COUNCIL INCLUDING PERSONS (WHEREVER RESIDENT) WHO ARE PATIENTS OF THE SURGERY AT NEWBURY STREET, KINTBURY (HEREINAFTER CALLED "THE AREA OF BENEFIT") AND, IN PARTICULAR, THE RELIEF OF POVERTY, DISTRESS, SICKNESS AND THE EFFECTS OF AGEING, THE PROTECTION OF HEALTH AND THE ADVANCEMENT OF EDUCATION; AND TO UNDERTAKE VOLUNTARY WORK IN THE SOCIAL SERVICES IN THE AREA OF BENEFIT TO RELIEVE PERSONS WHO ARE OTHERWISE IN NEED BY THE PROVISION OF VOLUNTEERS TO ASSIST PERSONS IN ANY WAY THAT MAY BE REQUIRED. 2) TO PROMOTE AND ORGANISE CO-OPERATION IN THE ACHIEVEMENT OF THE ABOVE PURPOSES AND TO THAT END TO BRING TOGETHER IN THE CHARITY MEMBERS AND REPRESENTATIVES OF VOLUNTARY ORGANISATIONS, CHARITIES AND STATUTORY AUTHORITIES WITHIN THE AREA OF BENEFIT.
