1. TO FURTHER KNOWLEDGE OF THE MUSICAL WORKS OF DOUGLAS COOMBES BY PROMOTING PUBLIC PERFORMANCES OF THE SAME 2. TO EDUCATE THE PUBLIC IN THE ART OF MUSIC GENERALLY BY THE PROMOTION OF PUBLIC LECTURES, CONCERTS AND RECITALS. 3. TO AWARD SCHOLARSHIPS, EXHIBITIONS, BURSARIES, GRANTS OR MAINTENANCE ALLOWANCES FOR THE MUSICAL EDUCATION OF ANY PERSON UNDER 25 YEARS OF AGE OR WHOSE PARENTS ARE IN NEED OF FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE TO ALLOW SUCH MUSICAL EDUCATION TO BE COMPLETED AND TO MAKE SUCH AWARDS FOR EDUCATION AT ANY RECOGNISED EDUCATIONAL ESTABLISHMENT WHOLLY OR PARTLY SPECIALISING IN THE TEACHING OF MUSIC OR ANY ASPECT OF MUSIC ANYWHERE IN THE UNITED KINGDOM OR ABROAD. 4. TO AWARD GRANTS OR MAINTENANCE ALLOWANCES TO PERSONS OF ANY AGE TO ASSIST THEM IN SUCH MANNER AS THE TRUSTEES SHALL IN THEIR ABSOLUTE DISCRETION THINK FIT TO BECOME COMPOSERS OF MUSIC IN ALL OR ANY OF OF ITS VARIOUS FORMS INCLUDING (WITHOUT PREJUDICE TO THE GENERALITY OF THIS POWER) SPECIFICALLY COMMISSIONING WORKS OF MUSIC AND RECORDINGS OF WORKS OF MUSIC. 5. TO KEEP AND MAINTAIN A LIBRARY OF RECORDINGS AND SCORES (WHETHER PRINTED OR MANUSCRIPT AND WHETHER PUBLISHED OR UNPUBLISHED) OF THE MUSICAL WORKS OF DOUGLAS COOMBES AND TO USE SUCH FOR ALL OR ANY OF THE OTHER OBJECTS SET OUT IN THIS CLAUSE 5. 6.
