B. Objects. 1. The Trustees shall stand possessed of the Trust Fund upon trust to apply capital and income or part thereof in response to requests of the Parochial Church Council in such a manner as they shall, in their absolute discretion, think fit for all or any of the following charitable purposes namely: for the advancement of the Christian religion and the preservation of a building of historical importance for the benefit of the public by the maintenance or assisting with the maintenance of Holy Trinity Church Salcombe and its churchyard. 2. For the purpose of this clause, the terms repair, restoration and maintenance shall normally exclude work included in the Church's Planned Maintenance Schedule. When financial or other constraints prevent the PCC from carrying out essential routine maintenance on the church or churchyard, the Trustees may, on a case-by-case basis and at their absolute discretion, make grants to cover some or all of the cost of this work.
