(a) To improve and enhance the area of Newington Green with a view to improving the quality of life of the inhabitants of the area with a particular focus on the socially isolated and those without access to private amenity space provided that in so doing the Charity shall not relieve the local authority or other body of its statutory obligations. (b) To promote and raise awareness of equality and diversity, in particular, but not exclusively, by running activities that foster understanding between people from different backgrounds. (c) To advance public knowledge of the history of Newington Green through events, research, record, education and promotion of its rich history including dissent. (d) To encourage mutual support and joint aid among our members, local residents and local businesses with a view to building community resilience.(e) To support conservation-led sustainable development, encourage high-quality social housing and measures to lower traffic congestion while working to protect the unique qualities of Newington Green.
