3. Objects3.1 The Charity's Objects are: (a) to promote the advancement of education by providing advice, training, coaching and mentoring to students and young persons in the United Kingdom or elsewhere who are from such demographic groups or backgrounds as the Trustees may consider to be underrepresented or disadvantaged in any areas of education or employment or in any other activity as the Trustees may from time to time determine. We will assist any such persons to learn skills and qualities such as self-motivation, effective communication, leadership and other vocational, personal, social or pastoral skills, with a view to all or any of the following, as may be permitted by law in the relevant jurisdiction: (i) encouraging them in pursuit of academic achievement;(ii) guiding them and assisting them concerning the exploration and exploitation of opportunities for education and employment;(iii) assisting them to develop their potential and improve their chances of entering and progressing in careers in which members of their demographic groups or backgrounds are under-represented in the United Kingdom or elsewhere;(iv) instigating career and work experience initiatives with specific companies, institutions or other organisations in one or more of the following sectors or professions: the arts, finance, banking, investment banking, commerce, law, accountancy, technology, media, philanthropy, consultancy and other such sectors or professions as the Trustees may, from time to time, in their discretion determine;(v) encouraging and enabling them to take an active part in voluntary and/or community service activities. (b) to promote the relief of unemployment of people from certain demographic groups or backgrounds that the Trustees may consider to be from time to time, under-represented or disadvantaged, in the workforce in the United Kingdom or elsewhere by providing advice, training, coaching, mentoring and encouragement to apply for jobs in career areas in which they have been traditionally under-represented or disadvantaged, as may be permitted by law in the relevant jurisdiction.
