(A) THE PRESERVATION PROTECTION AND IMPROVEMENT FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT OF ALL PAINTINGS, PRINTS, WORKS OF ART, CERAMICS, PORCELAIN, SCULPTURE AND OTHER CHATTELS OF ITEMS OF NATIONAL, HISTORIC, ARTISTIC OR SCIENTIFIC INTEREST OWNED BY ASSOCIATED WITH OR DISPLACED IN THE PETER SCOTT GALLERY OF THE UNIVERSITY OF LANCASTER. (B) FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE GENERAL PUBLIC THE PRESERVATION OF A COLLECTION ("THE COLLECTION") OF PAINTINGS SCULPTURE AND OTHER CHATTELS OR ITEMS OF NATIONAL, HISTORIC, ARTISTIC OR SCIENTIFIC INTEREST AND THE ENCOURAGEMENT OF THE PROVISION OF ACCESS TO AND THE STUDY OF SUCH ITEMS BY THE GENERAL PUBLIC.(C) TO ADVANCE EDUCATION BY THE CREATION MAINTENANCE AND FUNDING OF GRANTS, BURSARIES, SCHOLARSHIPS, PRIZES AND REWARDS FOR MEMBERS OF THE GENERAL PUBLIC TO INCREASE THEIR KNOWLEDGE, APPRECIATION AND ENJOYMENT OF THE COLLECTION AND FOR EDUCATIONAL AND RESEARCH PURPOSES GENERALLY IN RELATION TO THE COLLECTION.
