To promote any charitable purpose for the benefit of older people who are in need within the City of York and its environs and in furtherance of the said purposes, but not further or otherwise.(1) To help represent the views of older people in need to decision makers locally and nationally.(2) To help older people in need to know what services and opportunities are available to them and in particular the relief of poverty; the preservation and protection of good health; the advancement of education in relation to but not limited to financial, health, housing, social and welfare entitlements and improving conditions of life for older people.(3) To help to identify the needs and interests of older people not being met by existing services and to help to ensure that these needs are met.
