TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF THE PUBLIC IN THE SUBJECT OF THE CARE OF THE ELDERLY, INCLUDING SELF-HELP BY THE ELDERLY, THROUGH THE PROVISION OF LECTURES, SEMINARS, HANDS-ON TRAINING, AND PROVISION OF A PUBLICATION RESOURCE CENTRE. 2. TO ASSIST IN THE TREATMENT AND CARE OF ELDERLY PERSONS SUFFERING FROM MENTAL OR PHYSICAL ILLNESS OF ANY DESCRIPTION OR IN NEED OF REHABILITATION AS A RESULT OF SUCH ILLNESS, BY THE TRAINING AND/OR PROVISION OF CARERS/VISITORS TO PROVIDE FACILITIES FOR RECREATION. 3. TO RELIEVE ELDERLY ILL AND/OR DISABLED ELDERLY PEOPLE RESIDENT IN THE GREATER LONDON AREA THROUGH THE TRAINING AND SUPPORT OF CARERS/VISITORS TO PROVIDE REGULAR SUPPORT AND ADVICE TO SUCH ELDERLY. 4. TO PROVIDE SERVICES OF WORSHIP AND RELIGIOUS TEACHING, ACCORDING TO THE BELIEFS AND PRACTICES OF THE CHURCH OF ENGLAND OR OTHER CHURCHES THAT ARE MEMBERS OF CHURCHES TOGETHER IN ENGLAND (OR SUCCESSOR BODY), FOR ELDERLY PEOPLE UNABLE TO ATTEND THEIR LOCAL CHURCH.
