TO PROMOTE HIGH STANDARDS OF EDUCATION AND TRAINING IN THE FIELDS OF ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY AT ALL LEVELS AND IN PARTICULAR (BUT NOT BY WAY OF LIMITATION) TO:- 1. ACT IN AN ADVISORY CAPACITY, TO LEARNING PROVIDERS;2. SEEK ACTIVELY TO INFLUENCE ANY DECISION TAKEN BY LEARNING PROVIDERS WHEN IT IS THOUGHT THAT SUCH ACTION WILL AFFECT THE FUTURE PROVISION OF ENGINEERING, EDUCATION AND TRAINING;3. STIMULATE AND PROMOTE AWARENESS AND UNDERSTANDING AMONG LEARNING PROVIDERS THROUGH DISCUSSION, COURSES, CONFERENCES, SEMINARS AND CONVENTIONS;4. PROVIDE EDUCATION AND TRAINING TO LEARNING PROVIDERS;5. WORK WITH OTHERS TO CONTRIBUTE TO AND IMPROVE STANDARDS AND QUALIFICATIONS AND TO SECURE THEIR RELEVANCE TO EMPLOYERS;6. PROMOTE THE IMPROVEMENT OF CURRICULUM DESIGN TEACHING METHOD AND LEARNING METHOD; AND7. OBTAIN, EVALUATE AND DISSEMINATE INFORMATION AMONG LEARNING PROVIDERS,IN ALL RESPECTS IN RELATION TO THE PROMOTION OF HIGH QUALITY EDUCATION AND TRAINING ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY AND IN THIS CLAUSE "LEARNING PROVIDERS" MEANS COLLEGES AND OTHER PUBLICLY FUNDED PROVIDERS OF LEARNING AND ORGANISATIONS RESPONSIBLE THEREFOR AND CONCERNED THEREWITH.
