TO PROMOTE EDUCATION AND TRAINING IN SCIENCE, TECHNOLOGY AND MATHEMATICS IN THE COMMONWEALTH AND IN PARTICULAR THE DEVELOPING COUNTRIES OF THE COMMONWEALTH BY: (A) PROMOTING EDUCATIONAL DEVELOPMENT IN SCIENCE, TECHNOLOGY AND MATHEMATICS, INCLUDING INNOVATIONS IN TEACHING AND ENHANCING UNDERSTANDING OF THEIR SOCIALLY AND CULTURALLY RELEVANT ASPECTS;(B) CONTRIBUTING TO EDUCATIONAL CO-OPERATION AND THE SHARING OF EXPERIENCE OF THOSE ENGAGED IN RELATING SCIENCE, TECHNOLOGY AND MATHEMATICS EDUCATION TO THE PROBLEMS OF SOCIETIES IN DEVELOPED AND DEVELOPING COUNTRIES, AND TO THE FORMULATION, ADOPTION AND REVIEW OF APPROPRIATE MEASURES TO THAT END IN THE COMMONWEALTH; AND (C) PROVIDING FOR THESE PURPOSES AN EXCHANGE OF INFORMATION AND VIEWS AND FOR HIGHLIGHTING THE IMPORTANCE AND RELEVANCE OF SCIENCE TECHNOLOGY AND MATHEMATICS EDUCATION IN THE COMMONWEALTH.
