3.1 TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF THE GENERAL PUBLIC IN THE UK, AFRICA AND ELSEWHERE IN SUBJECTS OF GOOD GOVERNANCE, HEALTH, GENDER ISSUES, TRADE, RURAL DEVELOPMENT, INTERNATIONAL AID, HUMAN WELFARE AND POVERTY RELIEF RELATING TO COUNTRIES AND SOCIETI0ES IN AFRICA AND TO EDUCATE THE PUBLIC ABOUT AFRICA GENERALLY AND THE CHALLENGES IT FACES; AND 3.2 TO PROMOTE RESEARCH INTO THE ABOVE SUBJECT AREAS FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PUBLIC AND TO DISSEMINATE THE USEFUL RESULTS OF SUCH RESEARCH.
