Objects of the CharityThe objects of the Charity are for the public benefit:3.1 the advancement of education and science by furthering research into canine diseases and hereditary disorders of dogs 3.2 the advancement of education in particular but not exclusively in responsible dog ownership, including public safety, obedience training and the health and welfare of dogs3.3 to improve the quality of life of human beings by promoting dogs as therapeutic and practical aids to individuals who are in need because of youth, age, ill-health, disability, financial hardship or other disadvantage3.4 to promote the moral and spiritual welfare of the community by promoting the doctrine of kindness to dogs and the prevention of cruelty to dogs by relieving the suffering of dogs who are in need of care and attention and in particular to encourage the provision of facilities for the reception and care of unwanted dogs and the treatment of sick or ill-treated dogs.”
