TO PROMOTE THE VOLUNTARY SECTOR IN THE SOUTH WEST REGION OF ENGLAND FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PUBLIC IN GENERAL AND IN PARTICULAR PEOPLE OF AFRICAN, AFRICAN-CARIBBEAN, ASIAN, CHINESE AND OTHER MINORITY GROUPS, ESPECIALLY THOSE WHO ARE DISCRIMINATED AGAINST ON THE BASIS OF COLOUR, RACE OR NATIONALITY, BY MEANS OF:3.1 LIASING BETWEEN CHARITIES, VOLUNTARY ORGANISATIONS, GOVERNMENT AGENCIES AND OTHER GROUPS ON RELEVANT ISSUES INCLUDING THOSE THAT AFFECT MINORITY GROUPS;3.2 IDENTIFYING NEEDS IN THE VOLUNTARY SECTOR AND ESTABLISHING PROJECTS OR POLICIES TO ADDRESS THEM;3.3 PROVIDING INFORMATION ON THE OPERATION OF, OR PROBLEMS ENCOUNTERED BY THE VOLUNTARY SECTOR IN GENERAL AND MINORITY GROUPS IN PARTICULAR;3.4 ACTING AS A REPRESENTATIVE OF THE VOLUNTARY SECTOR ESPECIALLY ON BEHALF OF MEMBERS OF MINORITY GROUPS IN RELATION TO GOVERNMENT POLICIES AND LEGISLATION.
