THE TRUSTEES SHALL HOLD THE CAPITAL AND INCOME OF THE TRUST FUND UPON TRUST TO APPLY THEINCOME, AND ALL OR SUCH PART OR PARTS OF THE CAPITAL, AT SUCH TIME OR TIMES AND IN SUCH MANNERAS THE TRUSTEES MAY IN THEIR ABSOLUTE DISCRETION THINK FIT FOR THE FOLLOWING OBJECTS (THE'OBJECTS'):(A) TO PRESERVE AND DISPLAY FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE GENERAL PUBLIC WORKS OF ART AND OTHERITEMS THAT ARE OF ARTISTIC, HISTORICAL OR SOCIOLOGICAL INTEREST, INCLUDING IN PARTICULAR SUCHOF THOSE ITEMS THAT ARE SPECIFIED IN THE SECOND SCHEDULE AS MAY BE ADDED TO THETRUST FUND (ALL SUCH ITEMS SHALL BE REFERRED TO IN THIS CLAUSE AS THE 'COLLECTION');(B) TO ORGANISE THE PROVISION OF PUBLIC ACCESS TO THE COLLECTION AND TO ENCOURAGE ANDASSIST SUCH PUBLIC ACCESS; AND(C) TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF THE PUBLIC, PARTICULARLY BY PROMOTING THE STUDY OF THECOLLECTION BY THE PUBLIC AND ENCOURAGING THE INCREASE OF THEIR UNDERSTANDING ANDAPPRECIATION OF MATTERS OF HISTORIC, ARTISTIC AND SOCIOLOGICAL INTEREST CONNECTED WITHTHE COLLECTION.3.2 THE TRUSTEES MAY IN THEIR DISCRETION, FOR THE PERIOD OF 21 YEARS FROM THE DATE OF THIS DEED,INSTEAD OF APPLYING THE INCOME OF THE CHARITY IN ANY YEAR, ACCUMULATE ALL OR ANY PART OF SUCHINCOME AT COMPOUND INTEREST BY INVESTING THE SAME, AND THE RESULTING INCOME, IN ANYINVESTMENTS AUTHORISED BY THIS DEED OR BY LAW AS AN ACCRETION TO AND AS PART OF THE CAPITAL OFTHE CHARITY, WITHOUT PREJUDICE TO THEIR RIGHT TO APPLY THE WHOLE OR ANY PART OF SUCH ACCUMULATEDINCOME IN ANY SUBSEQUENT YEAR AS IF THE SAME WERE INCOME OF THE CHARITY ARISING IN THE THENCURRENT YEAR.
