(1) TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF THE PUBLIC (IN PARTICULAR BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY DOCTORS AND NURSES) IN THE SUBJECTS OF HEALTH INNOVATION, SYSTEM REFORM AND HEALTH EDUCATION POLICY WITH THE AIM OF DRIVING UP STANDARDS AND IMPROVING PRACTICES NATIONALLY AND INTERNATIONALLY AND TO PROMOTE EVIDENCE-BASED RESEARCH FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT IN ALL ASPECTS OF THOSE SUBJECTS (PUBLISHING THE USEFUL RESULTS OF ANY SUCH RESEARCH).(2) TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF HEALTHCARE STAFF IN PARTICULAR BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY BY PROVIDING ASSISTANCE AND RELEVANT FACILITIES FOR THEM WITH THE OVERALL AIM OF IMPROVING PATIENT CARE FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT.(3) TO RELIEVE SICKNESS AND PROMOTE GOOD HEALTH FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT IN PARTICULAR BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY BY ASSISTING IN SUCH WAYS AS THE TRUSTEES SEE FIT TO HELP PROMOTE PATIENT BENEFIT, INNOVATION AND SYSTEM REFORM IN DEVELOPING AND DEVELOPED COUNTRIES THROUGH RESEARCH INTO THESE SUBJECTS WITH THE AIM TO IMPROVE NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL HEALTH AND HEALTHCARE SERVICES.(4) FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT TO PROMOTE EDUCATION, TRAINING AND RESEARCH IN SUCH WAYS AS THE CHARITY TRUSTEES SEE FIT IN PARTICULAR BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY BY:(A) AWARDING PERSONS SCHOLARSHIPS, MAINTENANCE ALLOWANCES OR GRANTS TENABLE AT ANY UNIVERSITY, COLLEGE OR INSTITUTION OF HIGHER OR SECONDARY EDUCATION; PROMOTING RESEARCH IN THE FIELDS OF HEALTH POLICY RESEARCH BOTH NATIONALLY AND INTERNATIONALLY; AND BY(B) AWARDING SUCH INSTITUTIONS (INCLUDING CHARITIES AND PUBLIC BODIES) WHICH WORK FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT (ESPECIALLY FOR PATIENT BENEFIT)) GRANTS, LOANS AND OTHER SUPPORT (FINANCIAL OR OTHERWISE) AS THE TRUSTEES SEE FIT FROM TIME TO TIME.
