THE PURPOSES OF THE UCCUK ARE:-3.1 TO ADVANCE THE CHRISTIAN RELIGION IN THE UNITED KINGDOM FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PUBLIC THROUGH INPARTICULAR BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY BY:A) THE HOLDING OF PRAYER MEETINGS, LECTURES (PUBLIC CELEBRATIONS OF RELIGIOUS FESTIVALS), PRODUCING AND/ORDISTRIBUTING LITERATURE ON CHRISTIANITY TO ENLIGHTEN OTHERS ABOUT THE CHRISTIAN RELIGION AND RESTORE A SENSE OFHOPE AND PEACE TO PEOPLE'S LIVES, THEIR COMMUNITIES AND THE NATIONS;B) PROVIDING AN ORGANISATION THROUGH WHICH CHRISTIANS CAN WORK TOGETHER IN LOCAL, NATIONAL ANDINTERNATIONAL GROUPS TO BE AN EFFECTIVE PART OF THE BODY OF CHRIST IN ACTION IN THE UNITED KINGDOM ANDBEYOND;C) PROVIDING MEANS THROUGH WHICH ITS MEMBERS CAN EXPRESS THEIR CALLING TO BE DISCIPLES AND APOSTLES OFJESUS CHRIST BY:-I) ENCOURAGING CREATIVE RELATIONSHIPS BETWEEN MEMBERS AND BETWEEN THE LOCAL CHURCHES IN WHICH THEYWORK.II) ACHIEVING COMMON CHRISTIAN PURPOSES THROUGH FELLOWSHIP.III) RAISING AND SUPPORTING THE CHRISTIAN MINISTRY.IV) HOLDING AND ADMINISTERING CHURCH PROPERTY.V) HELPING TO RELATE THE UCCUK TO THE LARGER BODY OF CHRIST.3.2 TO RELIEVE NEED, THE POOR AND VICTIMS OF NATURAL DISASTERS BOTH IN THE UNITED KINGDOM AND OTHERNATIONS.3.3 THE FURTHERANCE OF SUCH OTHER PURPOSES AS ARE EXCLUSIVELY CHARITABLE UNDER THE LAWS OF ENGLAND ANDWALES AS THE TRUSTEES FROM TIME TO TIME DETERMINE.
