OBJECT 2: TO PROMOTE THE EFFICIENCY AND EFFECTIVENESS OF CHARITIES AND THE EFFECTIVE USE OF CHARITABLE RESOURCES FOR THE BENEFIT OF LOCAL AND FAITH COMMUNITIES IN PARTICULAR BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY BY:(A) OFFERING WELFARE, SUPPORT AND EDUCATION SERVICES TO CHARITIES, VOLUNTARY AND NOT FOR PROFIT ORGANISATIONS AND THOSE IN LOCAL COMMUNITIES (IN PARTICULAR THOSE IN COMMUNITIES SUFFERING POVERTY AND DEPRIVATION);(B) CONTRIBUTING TO SOCIAL, COMMUNITY AND RELIGIOUS WELL-BEING OF THOSE RESIDENT OR WORKING IN THOSE COMMUNITIES;(C) CO-OPERATING WITH OTHERS IN ORDER TO DEVELOP AND SHARE EXPERIENCE, PRACTICE AND LEARNING; AND BY(D) REPRESENTING THEIR VIEWS AND EXPERIENCE TO STATUTORY AND NON-STATUTORY AUTHORITIES, OTHER RELEVANT ORGANISATIONS AND STRUCTURES.FOR THE PURPOSES OF THE OBJECTS, ¶FAITH COMMUNITIES÷ ARE DEFINED AS GROUPS OF PEOPLE WHO SHARE PARTICULAR SETS OF RELIGIOUS BELIEFS, AS RECOGNISED BY THE INTERFAITH NETWORK FOR THE UK.
