Charitable objects

The charitable purposes of the Charity are to promote the relief of older people in any manner which is now or hereafter may be deemed to be charitable in and around the County of East Sussex (the ‘Area of Benefit’), and at the discretion of the Trustees, to promote the relief of people in need by reason of ill-health, disability, financial hardship or other disadvantage where engagement in such activity is considered complementary to the Charity’s primary purpose. To further or benefit the residents of the Area of Benefit, without distinction of sex, sexual orientation, race or of political, religious or other opinions by associating together the said residents and the local authorities, voluntary and other organisations in a common effort to advance education and to provide facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation and leisure time occupation with the objective of improving the conditions of life for the residents .
