To promote such purposes that are exclusively charitable under the laws of England and Wales as the trustees in their discretion from time to time determine by the making of donations or grants from income available for distribution, subject to the proviso that at least 75% of the value of such grants or donations must go to registered charities, charitable organisations or individuals engaged in animal welfare or conservation activities as defined in clauses (a) and(b) of this clause.a) To relieve the suffering of animals of any species who are in need of care and attention and in particular to provide or maintain refuges or rescue homes or animal hospitals or sanctuaries or other facilities for the reception and care of unwanted animals and the treatment of sick or ill-treated animals within a radius of 20 miles from the centre of Irthlingborough, Northamptonshire.b) To promote for the benefit of the public the improvement, protection and preservation of the natural environment within a radius of 20 miles from the centre of Irthlingborough, Northamptonshire.
