1. THE RELIEF OF POVERTY AND FINANCIAL HARDSHIP AMONGST PRISONERS AND OTHER CONVICTED PEOPLE LIVING IN THE UNITED KINGDOM BY A. PROVIDING INVESTIGATION SERVICES, LEGAL ADVICE AND ASSISTANCE REGARDING APPEALS OF CRIMINAL CONVICTIONS AND SENTENCES VIA APPLICATIONS TO THE CRIMINAL CASES REVIEW COMMISSION AND THE COURT OF APPEAL B. supporting victims of miscarriages of justice and their families with surviving these injustices including facilitation of a peer support network, as well as support including therapeutic, financial and in kind support. 2. PROMOTING THE SOUND ADMINISTRATION OF JUSTICE AND PROPER ADMINISTRATION OF THE LAW FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT, IN PARTICULAR BY ALL OR ANY OF THE FOLLOWING: A. PROVIDING INVESTIGATION SERVICES, LEGAL ADVICE AND ASSISTANCE REGARDING APPEALS OF CRIMINAL CONVICTIONS AND SENTENCES VIA APPLICATIONS TO THE CRIMINAL CASES REVIEW COMMISSION AND THE COURT OF APPEAL TO PERSONS WHO, THROUGH LACK OF MEANS, WOULD OTHERWISE BE UNABLE TO AFFORD THEM. B. INFORMING AND EDUCATING CRIMINAL JUSTICE POLICY MAKERS, INVESTIGATING AND PROSECUTING AUTHORITIES, THE LEGAL PROFESSION AND THE PUBLIC ABOUT ANY SYSTEMIC ISSUES WHICH NEED TO BE ADDRESSED TO AVOID UNSAFE CONVICTIONS. C. supporting victims of miscarriages of justice and their families in the development of skills to advocate for justice in their own right.
