1) THE PROMOTION OF COMMUNITY PARTICIPATION IN HEALTHY RECREATION FOR THE BENEFIT OF ALL COMMUNITIES WHO ARE LIVING IN THE BIRMINGHAM AREA BY THE PROVISION OF FACILITIES FOR PLAYING BADMINTON AND SUCH OTHER SPORTS THAT ARE CAPABLE OF PROMOTING HEALTHY RECREATION; 2) TO ACT AS A RESOURCE FOR YOUNG PEOPLE UP TO THE AGE OF 30 LIVING IN BIRMINGHAM CITY COUNCIL AREA BY PROVIDING ADVICE AND ASSISTANCE AND ORGANISING PROGRAMMES OF PHYSICAL, EDUCATIONAL AND OTHER ACTIVITIES AS A MEANS OF:(A) ADVANCING IN LIFE AND HELPING YOUNG PEOPLE BY DEVELOPING THEIR SKILLS, CAPACITIES AND CAPABILITIES TO ENABLE THEM TO PARTICIPATE IN SOCIETY AS INDEPENDENT, MATURE AND RESPONSIBLE INDIVIDUALS;(B) ADVANCING VOCATIONAL EDUCATION (NON-ACADEMIC) AND WORK-BASED EDUCATION TO DEVELOP EMPLOYABILITY AND ENTERPRISE SKILLS;(C) RELIEVING UNEMPLOYMENT;(D) PROVIDING RECREATIONAL AND LEISURE TIME ACTIVITY IN THE INTERESTS OF SOCIAL WELFARE FOR PEOPLE LIVING IN THE AREA OF BENEFIT WHO HAVE NEED BY REASON OF THEIR YOUTH, AGE, INFIRMITY OR DISABILITY, POVERTY OR SOCIAL AND ECONOMIC CIRCUMSTANCES WITH A VIEW TO IMPROVING THE CONDITIONS OF LIFE OF SUCH PERSONS; 3) TO DEVELOP THE CAPACITY AND SKILLS OF THE COMMUNITY MEMBERS WHO ARE SOCIALLY AND ECONOMICALLY DISADVANTAGED, IN BIRMINGHAM AREA IN SUCH A WAY THAT THEY ARE BETTER ABLE TO IDENTIFY, HELP MEET THEIR NEEDS AND TO PARTICIPATE MORE FULLY IN SOCIETY; AND 4) THE PROVISION OR ASSISTANCE IN THE PROVISION OF FACILITIES, COURSES, TRAINING, PROGRAMMES AND RESOURCES TO ENABLE, ASSIST AND ENCOURAGE THE EDUCATION OF PERSONS IN LEADERSHIP, COACHING AND ORGANISATION OF SPORT AND PHYSICAL RECREATION.
