TO RELIEVE THE NEEDS OF CHILDREN WITH CRI DU CHAT SYNDROME, A RARE GENETIC DISORDER LEAVING CHILDREN BORN WITH IT WITH PHYSICAL AND MENTAL DISABILITIES NEEDING CARE AND SUPPORT THROUGHOUT THEIR LIFE, IN PARTICULAR BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY BY:- PROVIDING HELP, SUPPORT AND ADVICE TO FAMILIES FROM OUR OWN EXPERIENCE AND THOSE OF OUR MEMBERS,- PROMOTING AWARENESS AND UNDERSTANDING OF THE CRI DU CHAT SYNDROME THROUGH FUND RAISING EVENTS, SUPPORT GROUP MEETING, SCHOOL, COLLEGE'S AND UNIVERSITIES.- SUPPORTING RESEARCH THAT IS DEDICATED TO CRI DU CHAT SYNDROME.- SUPPORTING STUDENTS SEEKING A MEDICAL CAREER WITH GENETIC DISORDERS.- SUPPORTING CARERS AND PROFESSIONALS WHO CARE FOR THOSE WITH THE SYNDROME AND THEIR FAMILIES.- HELPING FUND OR PROVIDE SPECIALIST EQUIPMENT AND LEARNING AIDS TO FAMILIES, SCHOOLS OR HOSPITALS.
