(1) THE OBJECT OF THE CORPS IS TO HELP AND EDUCATE CHILDREN BETWEEN THE AGES OF 10 AND 18 YEARS THROUGH THEIR LEISURE ACTIVITIES SO AS TO DEVELOP THEIR PHYSICAL,MENTAL AND SOCIAL CAPACITIES THAT THEY MAY GROW TO FULL MATURITY AS ADULTS AND MEMBERS OF SCIETY AND THEIR CONDITIONS OF LIFE MAY BE IMPROVED EMPLOYING THE TRADITIONS AND PRACTICES OF THE ROYAL MARINES TO ACHIEVE THIS.(2) IN FURTHERANCE OF THAT OBJECT BUT NO FURTHER OR OTHERWISE THE CORPS MAY:-(A) EMPLOY ANY PERSON OR PERSONS TO SUPERVISE, ORGANISE AND CARRY OUT THE WORK OF THE CORPS, FOLLOWING COMPLETION OF CRB CHECKS.(B) RAISE FUNDS AND INVITE AND RECEIVE CONTRIBUTIONS FROM ANY PERSON OR PERSONS WHATSOEVER BY WAY OF DONATIONS, SUBSCRIPTIONS AND OTHERWISE; PROVIDED THAT THE CORPS SHALL NOT UNDERTKE PERMANENT TRADING ACTIVITIES IN RAISING FUNDS FOR ITS OBJECTS.(C) INVEST THE MONEYS OF THE CORPS NOT IMMEDIATELY REQUIRED FOR THE OBJECT THEREOF IN OR UPON INVESTMENTS, SECURITIES OR PROPERTY AS MAY BE THOUGHT FIT, SUBJECT NEVERTHELESS TO SUCH CONDITIONS (IF ANY) AS MAY BE FOR THE TIME BEING IMPOSED OR REQUIRED BY LAW.(D) TO DO ALL SUCH OTHER LAWFUL THINGS AS ARE NECESSARY FOR THE ATTAINMENT OF SAID OBJECTS.
