THE MERTHYR CYNON FOODBANK IS A CHRISTIAN FAITH ORGANISATION, WHOSE OBJECTS ARE SPECIFICALLY RESTRICTED TO THE RELIEF OF THOSE IN NEED BY REASON OF YOUTH,AGE, ILL-HEALTH, DISABILITY, FINANCIAL HARDSHIP LIVING IN THE MERTHYR AND CYNON VALLEY AREAS, BUT MAY BE EXTENDABLE TO INCORPORATE ADJOINING COMMUNITIES IF NECESSARY.TO ACHIEVE THIS THERE IS A VIEW TO COLLABORATING IN THIS REGARD WITH LOCAL AUTHORITIES, OTHER STATUTORY SERVICES, THE THIRD SECTOR INCLUDING VOLUNTARY ORGANISATIONS AND FAITH BASED ORGANISATIONS SUCH AS THE GWEINI.IN FURTHERANCE OF THE ABOVE, TO SUPPLY BOXES TO BENEFICIARIES, EITHER DIRECTLY OR THROUGH AGENCY PARTNERS, SUCH BOXES TO CONTAIN TINNED AND NON-PERISHABLE FOODS TO ENSURE A HEALTHY BALANCED AND NUTRITIOUS DIET SUFFICIENT FOR UP TO THREE DAYS.TO DO ANY OTHER THING CONSISTENT WITH THE PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE CHARITY, INCLUDING (BUT NOT LIMITED TO) THE PROVISION OF COUNSELLING OR OTHER ADVISORY SERVICES.
