TO ENSURE APPROPRIATE CONSISTENT TRAINING STANDARDS AND USE OF BEST-PRACTICE BY MEMBERS IN LOWLAND SEARCH AND RESCUE TECHNIQUES.3. TO PROMOTE APPROPRIATE STANDARDS AND CONDUCT AMONGST MEMBERS WITH THE AIM THAT ALL UK POLICE FORCES WILL ACCEPT ALSAR MEMBERS AS APPROPRIATE AND EFFECTIVE PARTNERS FOR SEARCH & RESCUE OPERATIONS.4. WHERE REQUIRED, TO ADVISE AND ASSIST ITS MEMBERS IN ENSURING THEIR APPROPRIATE USE BY THEIR LOCAL POLICE FORCE OR CALLING AGENCY.
