THE TRUSTEES SHALL HOLD THE TRUST FUND AND ITS INCOME UPON TRUST TO APPLY IT IN SUCH MANNER AS THE TRUSTEES IN THEIR DISCRETION FROM TIME TO TIME THINK FIT FOR ANY PURPOSES THROUGHOUT THE UNITED KINGDOM WHICH ARE EXCLUSIVELY CHARITABLE ACCORDING TO THE LAWS OF ENGLAND AND WALES, IN PARTICULAR FOR THE FOLLOWING:2.1 IN THE INTERESTS OF SOCIAL WELFARE AND WITH THE OBJECT OF IMPROVING PHYSICAL AND MENTAL HEALTH AND CONDITIONS OF LIFE:2.1.1 PROVIDING OR ASSISTING WITH THE PROVISION OF FACILITIES FOR YOUNG PEOPLE FOR RECREATION OR OTHER LEISURE-TIME OCCUPATION; AND 2.1.2 ADVANCING AMATEUR SPORT, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO FOOTBALL, THROUGH SUPPORTING AMATEUR TEAMS AND CLUBS; AND2.2 ADVANCING EDUCATION AND RELIEVING POVERTY BY SPONSORING TALENTED BUT DISADVANTAGED YOUNG PEOPLE TO ATTEND UNIVERSITY OR OTHER EDUCATIONAL ESTABLISHMENTS TO UNDERTAKE DEGREE-LEVEL OR OTHER COURSES AND FURTHER SUPPORTING THE EMPLOYMENT PROSPECTS OF SUCH YOUNG PEOPLE BY FACILITATING PERIODS OF WORK EXPERIENCE AND ACCESS TO ADVICE, TRAINING AND OPPORTUNITIES.
