To promote, support, further or otherwise benefit the residents of Trawden Forest and the surrounding area, without distinction of sex, sexual orientation, race, or of political, religious or other opinions.To do so by associating together the said residents, the local authorities, voluntary and other organisations, in a common effort to achieve the following:- the promotion and advancement of education, community development, health, environmental protection and improvement, the prevention or the relief of poverty, and of those in need by reason of youth, age, ill health, disability, financial hardship, or other disadvantage.- the provision, or assistance in the provision, of facilities for recreation or other leisure time occupation, in the interests of social welfare, with the objective of improving the conditions of life for the said residents.In furtherance of these objectives, but not otherwise, the trustees shall have the power to establish, or secure the establishment of, a community centre, community shop, community library and any other community asset or space, and to maintain, manage, or cooperate with any statutory authority in the maintenance and management of such centres, assets or spaces, in order that they may be used to facilitate activities promoted by the charity in furtherance of their objects.
