THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO are: 1.The relief of sickness and the preservation of health both physical and mental of vulnerable children, young people (14-25) adults and families and the elderly, by provision of medical aids and equipment, personal and social activities and events to improve physical and mental health, and to prevent further social isolation and ill health through promoting community based initiatives and networking.2. For the purpose of this clause, ‘socially excluded’ means being excluded from society, or parts of society, as a result of one or more of the following factors: Unemployment, financial hardship, youth or old age, ill health (physical or mental), substance abuse or dependancy including alcohol or drugs, discrimination on the grounds of sex, race, disability, ethnic origin, religion, belief, creed, sexual orientation or gender re-assignment, poor educational or skills attainment, relationship or family breakdown, poor housing ( ie housing that does not meet basic habitable standards), crime (either as a a victim of crime or an an offender rehabilitating into society)We provide tailor made support packages of food, health and occupational aids and social activities for all those above, particularly those who slip through the net/under the radar of voluntary and/or statutory service provision.
