THE OBJECTS OF THE SOCIETY SHALL BE:- (A) TO ENCOURAGE BY MEANS OF AN ANNUAL EXHIBITION KNOWN AS OTLEY SHOW (FOUNDED IN 1796), THE IMPROVEMENT AND DEVELOPMENT OF LIVESTOCK, AND AGRICULTURE IN GENERAL. (B) TO PROVIDE OPPORTUNITIES FOR FURTHER EDUCATION IN AGRICULTURAL SUBJECTS BY THE ARRANGING OF LECTURES. (C) TO SUPPORT BY MEANS OF A LOAN, DONATION OR SUBSCRIPTION, ANY APPROVED ORGANISATION (INCLUDING THE VARIOUS LIVESTOCK BREED SOCIETIES) ENGAGED IN THE IMPROVEMENT OF THE AGRICULTURAL INDUSTRY. (D) TO MAKE A DONATION OR SUBSCRIPTION TO ANY AGRICULTURAL CHARITIES THE COUNCIL MAY DETERMINE.
